Emerging Pop sensation Alex Young builds on the success of her hit song COLD from her debut album Amazing, released through Walmart and on iTunes, with the launch of two new singles and a brand new stage show for 2011.

Alex Young’s lead new single, “Government Name”, will have you handcuffed to the dance floor and your finger on REPLAY! Written by Stevie Wonder’s daughter, Takiyha Mathis, has an edgier sound and is a bass heavy club smash. On the track, Alex seduces the beat, trading barbs with an advancing lover. Following “Government Name,” Alex will unleash “Light Refraction,” an up-tempo, futuristic dance anthem.

Alex Young continues her work with A-list producers and writers and attracts the attention and praise of industry heavyweights. In crafting her debut album, Amazing, Alex worked with multi-platinum producer Amadeus Thompson (Trey Songz, 50 Cent, Danity Kane, Lil Wayne), two-time Grammy nominee Phillip “Taj” Jackson (Rihanna, Janet Jackson), to Jonas Jeberg & Cutfather (Pussycat Dolls, Kylie Minogue, Jordin Sparks), resulting in an acclaimed amalgam of pop, R&B, funk and dance.

Alex recently has also emerged as a fashion pioneer captivating photographers at premiers, album releases and fashion week events, including being listed among the Top Ten Best Dressed hipsters during New York’s Fashion Week.
